Destination Resorts Rank High

ENGLEWOOD, CO - Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R) was recently ranked the second highest revenue producing hotel company among hotel management companies in Hotel Business magazine’s “2003 Top 100 Management Companies” survey. With 32 hotels under management and gross annual revenues of $557 million, DH&R was also ranked first for average daily rate.

“DH&R’s impressive revenue growth, in a challenging hospitality climate, points to our outstanding success in managing properties that cater to luxury consumer demand,” said Charlie Peck, President and COO of Destination Hotels & Resorts. “Our corporate philosophy of earning customer loyalty by providing discerning travelers with high-quality properties and resorts with unique appeal continues to pay high dividends.”

DH&R manages independent, luxury and upscale hotels, resorts and golf clubs around the country. Some of the most esteemed properties in the industry are managed by DH&R, including the famous Hotel del Coronado near San Diego, the century-old Algonquin Hotel in New York City and The Argent Hotel in San Francisco. Whether it’s a special location, valued history, high-level of experience, or all of the above, DH&R properties provide memorable experiences that drive customer loyalty and increase repeat business.

Hotel Business ranked management companies according to 2002 annual gross revenue, average daily rate and RevPAR, for which DH&R was ranked second. The survey was based on a fax poll of more than 150 management companies that “operate hotels under their own flag or those that own all of their properties outright” and is the largest management company analysis of its kind. The rankings were published in the April 7-20, 2003 issue of Hotel Business magazine.
