The new 62-unit Comfort Inn, located at 2608 East Kansas Ave. (Highway 156 and 83), will hold a grand opening on Thursday, April 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Garden City Mayor Leonard Herman, members of the Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders are expected to attend.

“The Comfort Inn, the newest hotel in the Garden City area, offers a convenient location, state-of-the-art business facilities and top-line hotel features,” said General Manager Sonia Lang.
The three-story Comfort Inn features a stately façade and 62 guest rooms including 18 suites with upscale furnishings. Each guest room features two queen-size beds, 27-inch cable TV with Pay Per View movies, desk, coffee maker, clock radio, telephone, wireless high-speed internet access, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Each suite also features a king-size bed, sofa bed, microwave and refrigerator. Two whirlpool suites include a Jacuzzi tub.
Non-smoking rooms and rooms for individuals with disabilities are available.
Hotel features include an indoor pool, hot tub, steam spa sauna, exercise room, breakfast room and guest laundry. The hotel`s 800 square foot meeting space accommodates up to 100 people and includes a 10-foot projection TV screen. Photocopy and fax machines are available for guest use.
The hotel features a free hot deluxe continental breakfast of scrambled eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, hot and cold cereal, bagels, donuts, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea and milk, as well as a complimentary evening soup bar. A complimentary newspaper is available in the hotel`s breakfast room.
The Comfort Inn is located near restaurants, shopping, businesses and area attractions. The hotel is less than a mile from the Garden City Shopping Plaza and a mile from the downtown shopping district and Mercer Gallery Exhibit. The Finney County Historical Museum and Lee Richardson Zoo are three miles from the hotel.
Room rates begin at $61.95 and include free local phone calls. Discounts are available for senior citizens, business travelers, members of the American Automobile Association, government and military personnel and groups. Children age 18 and under stay free in their parents` or grandparents` room.
