Viva Resorts Appoints Bravo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (April 9, 2003) - Viva Resorts, with six all-inclusive properties in the Dominican Republic, Bahamas and Mexico, has appointed Jorge Bravo as the general director for the Viva Vacation Club, the company’s vacation ownership division. Prior to his appointment with the Viva Vacation Club, Bravo was the general director of Grupo Costamex’s Royal Holiday Vacation Club, based in the Dominican Republic.

In his role as general director, Bravo will oversee the operations of the Viva Vacation Club as well as the vacation ownership programs at Viva’s six properties. His responsibilities include:
á Coordinating with Ricardo Adderly, marketing director for the Viva Vacation Club, to implement a variety of programs and marketing strategies to promote the Viva Vacation Club to consumers.
á Creating a projected budget of sales and costs for the Viva Vacation Club and develop programs that will allow the company to reach the targeted budget goals.
á Motivating the sales team to reach their maximum sales potential in order to achieve the targeted sales goals.
á Maintaining strong communication with the Vacation Club’s service manager to ensure that quality levels of service are provided to the customer’s satisfaction.
á Supervising the administration department to guide their efforts in coordinating and supporting the sales, service and marketing efforts in order to uphold the successful functionality of the Vacation Club.
á Establishing an effective and efficient relationship with the general managers at all six properties and all other department managers who have direct contact with the Vacation Club.

á Developing an effective relationship with the local governments representatives in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Bahamas, in order to improve communications and laws affecting the vacation ownership industry.

Bravo spent nine years with Royal Hideaway where he started his career as the sales director, worked as project director and general director. Over the nine years, Bravo spent time at Royal Hideaway’s properties in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.


To further enhance his knowledge of the vacation ownership industry, Bravo has participated in various seminars and conferences including Resort Condominium International’s (RCI) Timeshare University, the annual RCI Conference, the American Resort Development Association’s (ARDA) annual conference and sales and marketing seminars offered by Grupo Costamex.  In 1995, Bravo was honored by ARDA with a “Silver Award” in the general sales manager/director category. Bravo received a Business Administration degree in Management from the National University of Mexico. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
