September 2002 - RBC Financial Group conference—- “I have been very fortunate in receiving great service at most of the venues I have used, but what the Delta Vancouver Airport provided was truly superior. From the initial meeting with Candice where I viewed the property right up to the end of our conference, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Right from the front desk staff, your staff left a first class impression of the hotel. Whenever I passed any hotel staff I was smiled at and a hello said. Candice and Peter made a special point of stopping me throughout the conference to make sure everything was going well, and if they could do anything for me.“I would like to tell you of a few examples of the quality of staff you have working at the Delta Vancouver Airport. 1) One of our participants arrived at the hotel and when checking in, realized he had left his Visa card in the taxi. The front desk clerk, upon hearing his comment, immediately asked what the taxi company was that was used and she would call them to get the card dropped off at the hotel. 2) Two RBC Royal Bank staff were in the elevator coming from their room and mentioned how hot their rooms were. There was a bellman in the elevator with them, and he asked what rooms they were in and he would have a fan sent up. When they got back to their rooms that night, the fans were in their rooms, on and the room was cooler. 3) It was decided late in the morning of the second day that we needed a “Rubik’s cube” to present to our Senior Vice President that afternoon. Your staff phoned around to find one for us, and then Peter took off to pick it up. Amazing staff! So often we are willing to write a letter to say what went wrong. I couldn’t miss this opportunity to tell you what went right. Everything!
