BW Premier Launch in Europe

PARIS - Best Western International, THE WORLD’S LARGEST HOTEL CHAIN®, and the largest hotel chain in Europe, today showcased 46 Best Western hotels which have earned the Best Western Premier product name. The announcement was made during a special event held at the Best Western Premier Derby Alma hotel.

“These European hotels are distinctive in design, services and character. The Best Western Premier name more clearly defines the differences for current and potential guests, travel industry professionals and developers,” said Tom Higgins, Best Western International president and chief executive officer.

The 46 current Best Western Premier hotels comprise nearly 4,000 rooms and are the first of an anticipated 150 Best Western Premier hotels planned over the next two years. This select group of Best Western Premier hotels offers a higher level of amenities, services and unique features.
To qualify for the Best Western Premier designation, hotels must apply and are subject to a special design and quality review. Best Western Premier hotels will have 27 or more amenities and services than the already required BestRequests® product standards currently available at Best Western properties worldwide. Best Western Premier standards include such things as concierge service, recreational facilities, 24-hour fax/photocopy facilities, dry cleaning/laundry service, bar/lounge or in-room minibar, complimentary newspapers and full-service restaurants on site or close to the hotel.

“BestRequests was the first step our members took in improving the consistency of our brand across the world. Best Western Premier is the second important step in enhancing customer understanding and satisfaction by better clarifying the breadth of hotels within the Best Western portfolio,” Higgins said. “Best Western is committed to providing guests with consistently high standards, services and amenities. Best Western Premier hotels go beyond our global standards - offering even more amenities and services as well as décor and style desired by the discerning traveler,” said Higgins.

Best Western is THE WORLD’S LARGEST HOTEL CHAIN® with more than 4,000 hotels in over 80 countries and territories. It is a membership association of independently owned and operated hotels that provides marketing, reservations and operational support to its members.
