Intrawest Offer Four Seasons Private Residences

Intrawest Corporation, the world’s leading operator and
developer of village-centered resorts, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the leading luxury hotelier in
the world, unveiled plans today for a luxury condominium hotel comprising 36 private residences to be
built next to Four Seasons Resort Whistler.
Four Seasons Private Residences Whistler follows Intrawest’s successful sell-out of Four Seasons Resort
Whistler, a strata-titled 242-suite luxury hotel that sold for over Cdn$150 million in five hours last Feb.
“We are very excited about the launch of Four Seasons Private Residences Whistler,” said Joe Houssian,
chairman, president and chief executive officer of Intrawest. “The overwhelming response to the initial
offering has led us to release 36 homes which will be the only opportunity to acquire Four Seasons whole
ownership real estate for year-round availability in Whistler. Because this is a limited offering, we
anticipate they will sell quickly.”
Intrawest is now accepting priority reservations for the invitation-only sales launch event scheduled for
March 15, 2003 at the Intrawest Discovery Centre in Whistler.
Four Seasons Private Residences Whistler is Intrawest’s most luxurious development to date. Owners of
the residences will enjoy the best of both worlds. They will live in a spacious, mountain residence, and
have access to Four Seasons’ signature world-class services and amenities including exceptional dining
options, a ski concierge, and the 9,000 sq. ft. spa and health club.
“This offering represents a unique opportunity for buyers to have the best that Whistler can offer ? a
Four Seasons service and lifestyle experience, combined with a location that is impossible to replicate,”
said Isadore Sharp, chairman and chief executive officer, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Whistler is
one of the world’s premier destinations, and these new residences will be supremely situated to enable
residents to enjoy Whistler fully.”
When the residences are not in use, owners have the option of making their homes available in a rental
program managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
The fully furnished homes will range in size from 1,500 sq. ft. for two-bedroom homes to penthouses
close to 3,700 sq. ft. Prices start from approximately $1.7 million CDN ($1.1 million US). The Four
Seasons Private Residences will set a new standard in luxury and will be Whistler’s premier address.
The residences are located within walking distance of Whistler Village, the base of Blackcomb Mountain,
the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed Chateau Whistler Golf Course, Lost Lake and Valley Trails. To learn
