WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Mar 5, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE)—Four Points by Sheraton and parent company, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT), announce the brand`s first New York City property, Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan, slated for a July `03 opening.
The newly-built 158-room Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan will be located in the fashionable Chelsea district of Manhattan, known for its multitude of galleries, eclectic nightlife, outstanding restaurants and shopping. The hotel is owned by Chelsea Grand, LLC and operated by Interstate Hotels. Continuing its rapid growth plan, Four Points by Sheraton added additional properties last year in Woburn, Massachusetts; Detroit, Michigan; Fairview Heights, Illinois and Wichita, Kansas.
With an already strong presence in the U.S., Canada, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, the Four Points by Sheraton brand continues to make gains internationally with new openings planned for 2003 in Egypt, China, Paraguay and Uruguay.
