Clarion Ventura Beach Goes Marriott

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the Clarion Ventura Beach Hotel in Ventura, Calif., has officially been re-branded as the Marriott Ventura Beach. The property has just completed an $8.2 million renovation and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Olympus Real Estate Partners and operated by Remington Hotel Corporation of Dallas, Texas.
Situated just 200 yards from the Pacific Ocean in the Ventura Beach district and adjacent to San Buenaventura State Beach, the new 286-room Marriott is approximately 30 miles from Santa Barbara Airport and 45 miles from Burbank Airport. The contemporary 4-story hotel features an interior tropical courtyard with waterfalls, a heated kidney-shaped pool and whirlpool. The interior is decorated in bright colors combining Spanish Colonial touches and “L.A. style.” Guest rooms are handsomely appointed and feature the Marriott Bed package with down-filled duvet and pillows. Other in-room amenities include two-line telephones with data ports and voice mail, cable television with pay-per-view movies, coffee and tea service, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The property also offers a concierge level with upgraded amenities, bathrobes and a concierge lounge serving daily continental breakfast and cocktails.
The Marriott Ventura Beach offers 11,000 square feet of meeting space, with 10 separate meeting rooms on one atrium level. For large-scale functions, the hotel features a 6,000-square-foot ballroom, ideal for banquets and corporate or social events.
