Contract Prolonged for Cairo-Heliopolis

At the beginning of the year Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R)
and the holding company, Arab World Egypt Air Hotels (AWEH),
signed papers prolonging the management contract for the Cairo-Heliopolis
Mövenpick Hotel. The international hotel chain, whose
headquarters is located in Switzerland, has been running the
successful 415-room hotel at the Egyptian capital’s airport for the
last 17 years.
This hotel located at Cairo Airport, which is tailored completely
to the needs of businesstravellers and tourists alike, joined
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in 1985 and since then has enjoyed
an excellent reputation. “As we have total confidence in Swiss
hospitality, in the service offered, the first-rate quality of the entire
establishment and in the know-how of the Management, we now,
for the third consecutive time, extend our contract with
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.” This is the very clear statement
issued by Kamal Zaki, Managing Director of AWEH.
And Andreas Mattmüller, Senior Vice-President for MH&R in the
Middle East, explains: “It is impossible to imagine our Egypt
programme without the Heliopolis Hotel as it is the perfect
complement to our seven holiday resorts and the two Nile cruise
ships that we operate in the land of the Pharaohs.”
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is currently represented with 45 hotels in 12
countries and focuses on two hotel types, the business and conference hotel
and the holiday resort. Whilst the business hotels are located near the city
centre or the airport and offer an optimum infrastructure for the business travel-ler,
the holiday resorts are situated in outstanding destinations. The hotel
group is represented in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, the
Czech Republic, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Saudi-Arabia
and Qatar.
