Wyndham Re-Launches Telecomms Offer

Due to high customer demand, Wyndham International, Inc. (AMEX:WBR), which revolutionized the hotel industry in June 2002 by offering free, unlimited local and long distance telephone calls(a), free high-speed Internet access, free photocopying and free fax privileges, is re-launching the groundbreaking offer through June 30, 2003.

Offered as part of Wyndham ByRequest(R), which recently reached the one-million-member mark, this latest benefit embodies Wyndham`s philosophy of listening and responding to its guests` needs. Initially introduced in June 2002, the offer was created when an informal poll of front desk managers revealed that telephone charges were the number one guest complaint at check out.

“ByRequest is the only guest recognition program that was specifically created to listen and respond to guest needs, and was a radical idea when introduced in 2000,” said Fred Kleisner, chairman and chief executive officer of Wyndham International. “Now, we have continued that radical thinking, eliminating phone, Internet, fax and copy charges in June 2002 and through June 2003. Guest focused programs like these have helped our ByRequest program more than triple in just six months, to more than one million members today.”

ByRequest is the only guest recognition program that focuses on personalization. A complete departure from traditional points programs, ByRequest encourages guests to ask for items that personalize their hotel stay. Allen Kammer, the one millionth ByRequest member, appreciates this approach. “I travel an average of fifteen days per month, and there is nothing worse than being greeted by just a cold lobby,” said Kammer. “It`s an incredible feeling to be greeted by your first name and a friendly face, not to mention all those little extras that make you comfortable, especially when you would rather be at home.”

There are no pre-qualifications to register; guests simply fill out a personal profile on www.wyndham.com where they can select their favorite food, beverage, room and leisure activity preferences from more than 300 options. Guests can sign up for Wyndham ByRequest at www.wyndham.com, regardless of whether they have stayed at a Wyndham property before, and they will receive their personal preferences when they stay at a Wyndham property in the future.
