Philippe Hamon MD of Compagnie des Wagons-Lits

Paris, 8 January 2003._ Jean-Marc Espalioux, Chairman of the Accor Management
Board and CEO, has appointed Philippe Hamon Managing Director of Compagnie des
Wagons-Lits, replacing André Martinez.
Philippe Hamon reports to John Du Monceau, Senior Vice-Chairman of the Accor
Management Board.
Philippe Hamon, 54, graduated from a hotel school and has broad experience in the
airline, highway and railway catering industry.
From 1983 to 1993, he was Managing Director of a highway catering company in
France. From 1993, he was successively Managing Director of Compagnie des
Wagons-Lits in France, Spain and Italy. Since 2000, he has also served as the
Compagnie’s Deputy General Manager.
A subsidiary of Accor, Compagnie des Wagons-Lits has operations in 6 European
countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. With a payroll of 5 300, it
provides catering and rail hoteliery services on board day and night trains.

international activities:
- hotels: 3,833 hotels (441,203 rooms) in 90 countries, casinos, travel agencies, and
