Joseph Zaiden Managing Hilton Los Cabos

Joseph Zaiden has been named general manager of the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort in Mexico, effective immediately. Zaiden most recently served as general manager of the 260-room Conrad Hurghada Resort in Egypt, a position held since 2001.

A 20-year veteran in the hospitality industry, Zaiden`s career began in 1982 as a managing partner of Horbrau Restaurant in Coral Gables, Fla., in which he was responsible for all operations and administrative duties of the 120-seat dining facility. He has held various positions with prominent hospitality organizations including the Ramada Turquoise Reef, Turks & Caicos and the Ramada Treasure Island Resort, Grand Caymans - both in the British West Indies; the Hotel Inter-Continental Del Lago in Maracaibo, Venezuela; and the Hotel Inter-Continental in the Dominican Republic. In 1994, he served as executive assistant general manager for the Holiday Inn Manila Pavilion in the Philippines and later joined Allegro Resorts, Playacar in Mexico as resident manager, in which he was assigned to oversee and review the operations of various Allegro Hotels in the region, including the Jack Tar Village, Caribbean Village Cancun and the five-star all inclusive Royal Hideaway property. He moved on to become general manager of the Radisson Resort in Acapulco, Mexico in which he had to reposition the hotel in order to attract the upscale Mexico City and international market and later transferred to the Radisson Plaza Eurobuilding in Caracas, Venezuela as Director of the 630-room hotel, the largest Radisson hotel in Latin America.


Zaiden holds a bachelor of arts degree in English Literature from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY as well as a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He also attended the University of Madrid Medical School in Spain.


Zaiden is bi-lingual in English and Spanish and proficient in the French and Arabic languages.
