Emirates Towers Awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Emirates Towers Hotel, part of Dubai-based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah International, has recently been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Lloyds Register for Quality Assurance for their Quality Management System. Emirates Towers is the fifth Jumeirah International property, after The Jumeirah Beach Club, The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab and Wild Wadi Water Park, to implement and achieve the standards as required by ISO 9001:2000.

Emirates Towers Hotel has a mission ‘to be recognised as the world’s finest corporate hotel through passion, integrity, customer focus and innovation’. ISO is an effective tool for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System of Jumeirah International and is fundamental to achieving the hotel’s mission statement. Since its opening in April 2000, Emirates Towers Hotel has been acknowledged worldwide through many prestigious international travel and tourism awards and the Quality Management System used by the hotel has played a significant role on the attainment of these many awards.
Robert Kunkler, General Manager for Emirates Towers says: “We recognise ISO 9001 to be one of our most important operational tools in achieving our mission statement for Emirates Towers. Our management team and colleagues have embraced the ISO system to ensure we deliver the high standards we have set ourselves on a daily basis”.

Using ISO 9001 as a quality management tool enables us to keep in touch with the organisations procedures as well as customer requirements thus allowing us to achieve excellence in levels of customers and colleague satisfaction”.
The structure of Jumeirah Internationals’ Quality Management System is supported at the highest level by the company Vision, which outlines the future direction of the company and the Quality Policy which outlines management commitment in achieving our objectives for quality. Both in turn are supported by Guiding Principles, which are the values that guide Jumeirah International colleagues through their daily activities.

Implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2000 Certification is the company’s public declaration to provide a consistent level of quality throughout all areas of its operations.
