The newly renovated 93-unit Comfort Inn Downtown, located at 5820 Katy Freeway (I-10 East and Washington Blvd.) in the heart of Houston`s Memorial Park area, is now open.

The Comfort Inn Downtown, formerly operated as the Days Inn & Suites, is owned and operated by Sruti Hospitality, Inc. of Houston.

A recent $300,000 renovation of the hotel, remodeled the lobby, breakfast area and guest rooms; and refurbished the hotel`s exterior and parking lot. Guest rooms were remodeled with new furniture, bathrooms, paint and carpeting. A new meeting room accommodating up to 35 people is planned.

Each guest room has two double or one king size bed, a 25-inch TV with cable programming, telephone with dataport, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Business King rooms also feature a MicroFridge, large desk with lamp, coffee maker and clock radio.

The Comfort Inn Downtown also features non-smoking rooms and rooms for individuals with disabilities.

Hotel features include an outdoor pool, adjacent 24-hour restaurant, lobby, breakfast area and parking. Photocopy and fax machines are available for guest use.

The hotel features a free continental breakfast of cereal, muffins, donuts, bagels, cream cheese, juice, coffee, tea and milk.

The Comfort Inn Downtown is within walking distance of Memorial Park and five miles from the Galleria business district, Galleria Shopping Mall and downtown Houston. Enron Field and the George R. Brown Convention Center are six miles from the hotel. Houston`s theater district is four miles from the hotel.
