Choice Foundation`s $40,000 Scholarships

The Choice Hotels International Foundation, a tax-exempt entity established by Choice Hotels International Inc., (NYSE:CHH), one of the world`s largest lodging franchisors, today announced its renewal of a total of $40,000 in scholarships to several nonprofit educational programs targeted at minority and hospitality students for the 2003-2004 school year.

“It is our wish that these funds will further the careers of promising African American and hospitality management students,” said Chuck Ledsinger, president and chief executive officer of Choice Hotels International. “An investment in the education of these promising students today, benefits the hospitality industry and the nation tomorrow.”


The Choice Hotels International Foundation donated funds to the following educational institutions: the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund, United Negro College Fund, United Planning Organization and to hospitality management programs at Northern Arizona University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State and Howard University.
