Integration of Inventory

As part of its new and growing Business Builders® program, Galileo International, a leading global distribution system (GDS), today announced it is offering inventory to its U.S. travel agents via the Galileo e-Agent? portal as a powerful tool to increase revenue while providing hotel room discounts of 10 to 70 percent for their customers.

By booking inventory, Galileo-connected agents in the U.S. earn a 10 percent commission and can offer their customers discounts at more than 4,000 hotels in 500 markets.

Galileo’s Business Builders program was launched in August to offer U.S. travel agencies exclusive ways to earn revenues and lower operational costs while building customer loyalty. Galileo is constantly evaluating third-party products and content to add to the growing list of select products. Current Business Builders perks include commissions on RCI Holiday Network vacation rentals, upgrades and bonuses on Avis car rentals, cash back on real estate transactions, discounts on DSL services and fax or photocopying equipment, free shipping on office products, and customer coupons and discounts on a wide range of other products.

The integration of inventory into Galileo follows on the heels of the addition of to Cendant-affiliated Trip Network, Inc. sites, and last month.
