Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) and MaguirePartners, one of the nation`s premier commercial real estate developers, announced today that the Doubletree Hotel in Pasadena will be upgraded and converted to The Westin Pasadena effective December 20, 2002.
MaguirePartners developed the property in 1989 and the hotel has since been managed under the Hilton/Doubletree flag.

The hotel`s transformation to the Westin brand begins with the installation of the highly acclaimed Heavenly Bed(R) and Heavenly Bath(R) in all of its 350 guest rooms and suites.
