Antonio E. Vera, has been named director of sales for the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort in México effective immediately. Vera most recently served as regional commercial director for all resorts for Grupo Posadas, Fiesta Americana Hotels in México.
With more than 13-years of experience in the hospitality industry, Vera`s career began in 1989 as the director of sales and marketing for the Fiesta Inn Golf, Holiday Inn Cancùn and Fiesta Americana Cancùn hotels. In 1994, he joined Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancùn as the director of sales and marketing leading the way by significantly increasing hotel sales by 51% in one year. During his tenure, the hotel also achieved the AAA five-diamond award and the Leading Hotels of the World affiliation, giving the property world class recognition. In 1998, he became the director of sales and marketing for Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos and was in charge of the pre-opening sales and marketing efforts, which included introducing the Fiesta Americana Grand brand to the U.S., golf, group and incentive markets.

Vera studied tourist business administration while attending the Universidad del Valle in México. He also received a strategic planning diploma in marketing and finance from Tecnològico de Monterey in México.

Vera is married and has two daughters and he also enjoys playing golf.
