Conde Nast Traveller (UK) Readers Name Bellagio Best Hotel In The Americas And Caribbean

Bellagio, often described as the most
spectacular and romantic resort in the world, recently was named Best Hotel in
the Americas and Caribbean by readers of Conde Nast Traveller (UK) magazine.
Winners were announced in the publication`s fifth anniversary Readers` Travel
Awards issue.

“Conde Nast Traveller`s readers travel extensively worldwide.  It is a
remarkable honor for such a group to recognize Bellagio as the best leisure
destination in the Americas and Caribbean; an honor that has everything to do
with the commitment our employees make to each and every guest that walks
through our doors,” said Randy Morton, Vice President of Hotel Operations.

Hotels were evaluated on a number of criteria, including leisure
facilities, restaurants, standard comfort of accommodations, location,
environmental friendliness, ambience, shopping facilities, value for money and
service.

“It is a great honor for Bellagio to receive the highest score in its
category in our annual Readers` Travel Awards,” said Sarah Miller, magazine
editor.  “Acknowledging our readers` appreciation of the world`s best hotels
and their desire to see more than 20 worldwide listed in the magazine, this
year we expanded the leisure hotels` category by breaking it into five regions
of the world—Africa and the Middle East, Asia, Australia and the South
Pacific, Europe, and the Americas and Caribbean.  Each category was judged
according to 10 criteria and Bellagio took its three highest scores in the
following: standard of accommodation, location and service.”

Bellagio was named at the top of a list that included The Wickaninnish Inn
in Canada, Las Ventanas Al Paraiso in Mexico, Le Sport in St. Lucia and
Mondrian in Los Angeles among the readers` top five picks.

“It is a highly impressive occasion in the hospitality industry for a
resort with the scope and complexity of Bellagio to be recognized as having
attributes of intimacy and service superior to the other hotels in this select
group given that these resorts are far smaller,” Mr. Morton said.  “To be
chosen for this honor by people who extensively travel the world affirms Las
Vegas` rise to prominence on the world travel scene.”
