At the annual stockholders meeting of Interstate Hotels Corporation (Nasdaq:IHCO), held on July 18, 2000, J. William Richardson was elected to serve a three-year term as a Class A director on Interstate`s Board of Directors. Richardson is the Company`s Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.

Richardson`s hotel career has spanned more than 25 years. He joined Interstate in 1981. In his current position, Richardson has responsibility for all financial areas of the Company, as well as all business development activities.
