Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced today the appointment of F. Daniel Gibson as Vice President—Investor Relations.
Mr. Gibson joins Starwood from Bristol-Myers Squibb Company [NYSE:BMY] where he was Director Investor Relations.

(The Corporation). ``The company has been recognized as having the `Most Improved Investor Relations Program` for 1997 in the United States, across all industries, by `Barron`s` and `Investor Relation`s Magazine` based on a survey of portfolio managers and equity research analysts,`` Mr. Sternlicht said.
In his new position, Mr. Gibson will report to Richard Nanula, President & Chief Executive Officer of Starwood. He will be located at the company`s new World Headquarters in White Plains, New York and will be responsible for developing and executing all aspects of the company`s investor relations strategy and program targeted to shareholders, analysts and the investment community.
Mr. Gibson joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1983 and progressed through various financial positions within the Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Group as well as at Bristol-Myers Squibb Corporation including Financial Planning, Portfolio and Foreign Exchange Risk Management, Corporate Financial Analysis and most recently as Director, Investor Relations.
A graduate of Rider University with a BA in Commerce and Fairleigh Dickinson University with an MBA in Systems, Mr. Gibson is also a CPA and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
