Wyndham Metairie New Orleans Launches Sales Activities With Appointment Of First Director

In anticipation of a May 15, 2002, grand opening, the Wyndham Metairie New Orleans is pleased to announce F. Lynn Foley has joined as director of sales. The Wyndham Metairie New Orleans, located on Galleria Boulevard in Metairie, La., just 10 minutes from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, is the fifth Wyndham-branded hotel in the New Orleans area.

Foley, the former director of sales for the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group, brings 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Wyndham. Prior to joining the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group, Foley served seven years as sales manager and director of sales and marketing for the Doubletree Hotel New Orleans.

“Lynn`s first-hand knowledge of hospitality done to New Orleans` incredibly high standards makes her a valuable asset to our newest property, and we`re proud to have her on board,” said Tom Kenney, vice president of sales for Wyndham International, Inc. “We feel Lynn is just the person to showcase what we have to offer here - 182 luxurious new guest rooms and 7,000 total square feet of meeting space, along with the highest quality client service for which the Wyndham brand is known.”

The Wyndham Metairie New Orleans, which is owned by the Metairie Hotel Investors Limited Partnership, will feature a 4,126 square foot ballroom plus 1,200 additional square feet of meeting space and 1,600 square foot pre-function area. Other features include a restaurant, lobby bar and business center. The beautifully appointed guest rooms will feature Wyndham`s brand standard “Room That Performs” amenities, which include Serta(R) mattresses dressed in luxurious duvets/coverlets, decorative pillow shams and bed skirts, and Joseph Abboud(R) queen-size pillows and sheets. All guestrooms will also feature the Herman Miller(R) Aeron ergonomic desk chair and an oversized work desk, two-line cordless telephones and high-speed Internet access.

In 1984, Foley began her career with Ramada Hotel Corporation as a sales manager. She maintained her residency in the Deep South in various hotel positions including sales, catering, convention services for Ramada, Hilton, Holiday Inn and Doubletree Hotels. In 1990 and 1992, she took a short break from hotel sales to become the general manager of the Duff Green Mansion in Vicksburg, Miss. and a tour wholesaler with Tour Excel in Panama City, Fla., respectively.

Foley received her degree from the University of Mississippi in 1984. She currently lives in New Orleans with her three children.
