Wyndham International Appoints Jay A. Litt Senior Vice President of Resort Operations

Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN) today announced the appointment of Jay A. Litt as senior vice president of resort operations. In his new position, Litt will be responsible for leading Wyndham`s luxury and upscale resort operations located in the United States and the Caribbean, reporting to Ted Teng, president and chief operating officer.

“Jay brings more than 30 years of direct hotel and resort experience to the role. He has served as a general manager of large properties, overseen regional hotel operations and served in key sales, marketing and staff positions. His knowledge and experience in hotel and resort management will further strengthen Wyndham`s operations team,” said Teng. “Jay has the commitment to ensure the best possible resort experiences for our guests and the expertise to operate them in a consistent manner.”

In his new capacity, Litt will oversee the company`s portfolio of luxury and upscale resorts. Most recently, Litt, age 54, was Wyndham`s senior vice president, chief procurement officer, supervising all purchasing processes and national contracts. Under his leadership, Wyndham has established centralized purchasing standards and synergies throughout its network of hotels and resorts.

Prior to joining Wyndham in August 1998, Litt was with Interstate Hotels for seven years where he served in a variety of positions, from general manager to senior vice president of operations, overseeing sales and marketing and food and beverage in the eastern United States. He held a six-year post as president of RJF Hotels, Inc., a private management and consulting company with hotels in South Beach and Orlando, Fla. He also served in various hotel management positions at the Sheraton Corporation of America for 12 years.


Litt, a Certified Hotel Administrator, holds a B.S. in hospitality management from Florida International University in Miami and a B.A. in sociology from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. He served two years as a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps.
