Omni Hotels Receives American Express 1998 Automation Award

Omni Hotels has received the American Express 1998 Quality Automation Award. The award recognizes hotel chains that have identified global distribution systems (GDS) as the best link between the traveler counselor and the hotel and that have invested time and resources to ensure the timely loading of all negotiated rates. Omni Hotels has received the Quality Automation Award three consecutive years.

The GDS is the preferred hotel booking method for American Express Travel, as it has shown to be the most accurate, least expensive and fastest way for travel agencies to do business with its ease in booking air, hotel and car reservations.

Omni Hotels received the American Express Quality Automation Award based on its GDS rate loading procedures and accuracy and ability to communicate when rates are loaded—including the loading of American Express rates—all in atimely manner. Omni Hotels was also graded on its responsiveness in resolving problem situations.
