Carlson Companies Promotes Vicki Rasmusen To VP, Corporate Audit And Consulting

Carlson Companies, a global leader in the marketing, hospitality and travel industries, has promoted Vicki Rasmusen to the new position of vice president, Corporate Audit and Consulting.

Since Rasmusen joined Carlson Companies in 1997 as director of Corporate Audit, she has expanded the role of the traditional corporate audit group to include proactive consulting on a variety of information technology, finance and operational processes.


Rasmusen now leads a staff of I.T. and finance professionals who perform audit and consulting functions for Carlson`s wholly owned businesses worldwide, and provide I.T. audit and consulting services to Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) in conjunction with Accor, the Paris-based company that co-owns CWT with Carlson. In addition, she is an ex-officio member of the audit committees for CWT and Thomas Cook, a globally recognized travel and financial services business, which Carlson Companies also co-owns. In 1999, Rasmusen also was co-leader of the worldwide Y2K project for Carlson.


Prior to joining Carlson Companies, Rasmusen spent more than 15 years as a Certified Public Accountant in a variety of audit and consulting roles. She was a principal in the Audit Division of Ernst & Young LLP, and she also held management positions with Deloitte and Touche LLP and U.S. Bank.

In her new position, Rasmusen will report directly to the Audit Committee of the Carlson Companies Board of Directors, and she also will report administratively to Anita Phillips, vice president, Corporate Financial Services and Business Risk Management.
