Villager Franchise Systems Increases Travel Agent Commissions To 15 Percent

Villager Franchise Systems today announced it will increase travel agent commissions from 10 to 15 percent for guest stays at any Villager Lodge®, Villager Premier(SM) or Hearthside by Villager(SM) hotel from Nov. 15 through Jan.31, 2002.

The 15 percent commission is applicable to any commissionable rate currently in effect. Ken Rodgers, the chain`s president & chief executive officer, said the rate should help increase bookings through the holidays, when corporate travel normally slows.

“We recognize these are difficult times for the travel industry and believe this promotion will help both Villager franchisees as well as the community of travel agents that supports the brand,” he said.

Villager Franchise Systems Inc., an extended-stay chain of 175 properties open and under development representing more than 14,000 guest rooms in the Unites States, Canada and Mexico, is a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD). For reservations or further information, call the Villager toll-free reservations number, (800) 328-7829, or access the chain`s Web site at www.villager.com
