New Talent Joins Travelodge Canada

Travelodge Canada has recently brought several new staff members on board. Dorothy Dowling has joined Travelodge as the vice president of marketing, Robin Cumine has been appointed the director of franchise service operations, Ramona Remesat has been named public relations manager and Susan Strain is the new marketing and communications coordinator.


Ms. Dowling returns to Canada after an appointment as vice president of marketing for Travelodge Hotels Inc. in the U.S. During her time in the United States, Ms. Dowling was instrumental in developing and implementing a wide range of marketing activities including the Travelodge Miles loyalty program, brand advertising, promotions and franchise relations. She also brings with her extensive industry experience from marketing positions held with both Forte Hotels and Relax Hotels and Resorts.


Robin Cumine is the new director of franchise service operations and will manage a staff of four, overseeing all franchise service functions. Prior to joining Travelodge, Cumine worked as regional director, Royal Host Corp, where he managed day-to-day operations and financial results of seven properties. His experience also includes tenure with several hotel properties including Ramada Hotels & Resorts, Venture Inns of Canada, and Prince Hotels.


A new public relations manager has also joined the Travelodge Canada team. Ramona Remesat will manage all public relations, media and community relations functions. She will be assisted by Susan Strain, marketing and communications coordinator.
