Travelodge Canada Names New Director Of Franchise Service Operations

Robin Cumine has joined Travelodge Canada as the new director of franchise service operations based in Calgary, Alberta. Cumine will manage the Canadian franchise services staff and overseeing all franchise service. functions

Prior to joining Travelodge, Cumine worked as Regional Director, Royal Host Hotel and Resort Management where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and financial results of seven properties, as well as the opening of an additional property in Vaughn, Ontario. His experience also includes tenure with several hotel properties including Ramada Hotels & Resorts, Venture Inns of Canada, and Prince Hotels.


“We are very pleased to have Robin on board,” said Dorothy Dowling, executive vice president of marketing. “He brings to us a solid background in the hospitality industry and a wealth of knowledge in hotel management.”


Cumine is also an active member with the Kiwanis Club and was awarded Kiwanian of the Year in 1997. He also volunteers his time and participates in various local community charity initiatives.


Travelodge Canada administers the Master License for Travelodge and Thriftlodge in Canada with more than 80 locations across the country. Travelodge Canada Corp. is a subsidiary of Royal Host Corp. based in Calgary, Alberta.
