Thistle Hotels Appoint New Director Of Meetings & Events

David Hornby has been appointed to the newly created role of director of meeting & events for Thistle Hotels.

Hornby, who joins from the Thistle Gatwick hotel where he held the role of General Manager, will be responsible for raising the profile of Thistle Hotels Meeting & Events brand to the travel industry and direct to the customer base. The role will also involve all strategic planning for the brand and increasing revenue.

Commenting on his appointment, Alex Stuart, operations director for London: “We are delighted that David has undertaken this exciting role and will be able to raise the profile of the Meetings & Event product for Thistle Hotels.”

Hornby has been with Thistle Hotels since 1997, when he joined as area sales manager for the North West region.
