Thistle Hotels Plc announces with effect from today the appointment of Ian Durant as Finance Director of Thistle Hotels. He replaces Stephen Young who steps down from the Board today.

Ian Durant was most recently Group Finance Director of Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited, a food retail group quoted in Singapore and London controlled by the Jardine Matheson Group. Prior to that he was Finance Director of Hong Kong Land Holdings Limited, a property company quoted in Singapore and London. In his earlier career he undertook senior finance roles at Jardine Matheson and Hanson Plc. He is a graduate and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Thistle Hotels Plc also announces today the resignation of Stuart Burnett as Chief Operating Officer of Thistle Hotels with immediate effect. He will not be replaced as Chief Operating Officer.

Thistle Hotels Plc also announces today the appointment of Arun Amarsi as a non-Executive Director. Arun Amarsi is a senior executive of BIL International Limited (BIL). Prior to joining BIL, Mr Amarsi was Chief Financial Officer at Electricity Corporation of New Zealand and formerly a partner at Ernst and Young in New Zealand.
