Super 8 Motels, Inc. announces the appointment of Ron Wiebe, manager of the Kelowna Super 8 motel, to the chain`s Managers Advisory Board. Wiebe was selected based on his experience and performance as a Super 8 motel manager, and will represent Super 8 managers system-wide.

Super 8`s twelve-member Managers Advisory Board was created to allow for an exchange of ideas, to facilitate communication and to keep Super 8 management apprised of issues and ideas.

The non-voting, non-binding board meets quarterly and members serve a two-year term. Wiebe will attend his first meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada on Wednesday, August 2.

“Our Managers Advisory Board is unique in the industry and is extremely valuable in dealing with operating concerns,” said President and CEO Robert N. Weller.

A resident of Kelowna, Wiebe has been a Super 8 general manager since 1997. He has over 19 years experience in service related fields, and is currently President of the Kinsmen Club of Kelowna.
