Accor Lodging North America, the nation’s largest owner and operator of economy lodging properties, recognized the owner of the Fresno North Red Roof Inn as Franchisee of the Year at the company’s annual convention in Dallas. Franchisees Mary and Gordon Tangen own the Fresno North Red Roof Inn located at 6730 North Blackstone.

The convention theme, “One World, One Vision” set the tone for an important gathering of key executives and management of Accor’s five North American brands: upscale Sofitel, mid-scale Novotel, and economy leaders Motel6, Studio 6 and Red Roof Inns. Nearly 1,000 employees, franchisees and suppliers were in attendance at the March convention. As a testament to the international hotelier’s commitment to a quality franchise program in the United States, Accor was also recognized at the convention by the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD) as Franchisor of the Year.

Underscoring Accor’s commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, Accor executives recognized franchisees at the two-day conference with several awards. The coveted Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes a franchisee that produces solid results in all areas of their operations. In addition, recipients of the award deliver a significant contribution to the overall brand image by consistently practicing Accor philosophies and achieving the desired quality standards.

The Fresno Red Roof Inn consistently performs year after year at the top of the system and actively supports and promotes all brand programs. In addition, the Fresno Red Roof Inn has exceeded company averages for Guest Satisfaction Survey results over the last four years.
