Radisson Bridge Boca Raton Voted Top Performing Resort

The Radisson Bridge Resort of Boca Raton was selected by Lodging Hospitality as one of the top 100 performing resorts for per-room sales in 2000. Lodging Hospitality has conducted this survey since 1978 and selects the top 100 performing hotels in 4 categories; center city, resort, suburban and highway/airport featuring the winners in their August issue.

The Radisson Bridge Resort of Boca Raton is situated directly on the most picturesque section of the Intracoastal Waterway and features 121 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, all with balconies and spectacular waterviews.

The boutique-style resort attributes its 2000 success ($66,984 sales per room) to a combination of increases in both the corporate and group markets. With an average annual occupancy in the high 70`s, the resort`s location and service attracts both leisure and corporate travelers that like a more personalized hotel experience.

With only 121 rooms, the Radisson could not have achieved the Top 100 Performers list without the revenues generated from its two well-known food outlets - Carmen`s and Watercolor`s Café. Watercolor`s Café is Boca Raton`s only outdoor waterfront restaurant which entices both hotel guests and a repeat local clientele for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“2002 will be even better!” according to General Manager, Jeff Castner, referring to the brand new look of Carmen`s At the Top of the Bridge. Carmen`s Restaurant and Lounge, one of Boca`s long time popular dining spots, is completing a $1.5M renovation and is scheduled to re-open November 2001. The renovation will include a New World menu created by award-winning Chef Gary Spitnale, a more sophisticated upscale atmosphere, additional window seating so more customers can enjoy the panoramic views of Lake Boca Raton and the Intracoastal, as well as, additional multi-purpose meeting and banquet space.
