Pan Pacific Hotels And Resorts Withdraws From Management Of Its Property In Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Mr. Ichigo Umehara, President of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts and Mr. Edward Ong, Chief Executive Officer of Sutera Harbour, jointly announce that Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts will cease its management of The Pan Pacific Sutera Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia with effect from January 1, 2000.

The 500-room hotel was opened in April 1998 as part of the Sutera Harbour Complex, which also includes The Magellan Sutera Hotel and Spa, the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club, a marina and conference centre. Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has provided management, marketing, technical services, sales and reservations support for The Pan Pacific Sutera and also the newly opened Magellan Sutera Hotel and Spa.

“Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts played an integral part in bringing Sutera Harbour to its present state, which by all accounts, is well on its way to being established as - The Premier Address to Live, Work, Meet and Play. I would like to thank them sincerely for their support” said Mr. Ong.
Sutera Harbour will establish its own integrated branding and management of the three operating entities: the two hotels forming a single hotel entity with two wings: The Magellan Sutera Hotel and Spa and The Pacific Sutera Hotel and The Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club which will incorporate the 27 hole Graham Marsh golf course, marinas and social club with sports and food & beverage facilities.
