Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) announced today that Larraine Voll Morris was appointed vice president global sales, service and support. In this position, Ms. Voll Morris is responsible for business management, product and solution development, strategic planning and support of Marriott’s global sales organization, which includes many of the travel agent programs. Fred Miller has moved to the position of vice president, global sales for Marriott and is still responsible for all sales and industry relations regarding travel agents and travel management companies in addition to new responsibilities.
“Larraine brings a wealth of experience to this position and we are thrilled to have her on our global sales team,” said Bruce Wolff, senior vice president of distribution sales & marketing for Marriott.
Ms. Voll Morris joined Marriott in 1982 as travel industry manager. She headed the travel industry sales department for 12 years. Over the years, she has also served within Marriott as director of business travel strategy and planning, vice president of sales and service policy and operations, and her most recent position, vice president of e-commerce strategy and planning.
Ms. Voll Morris began her career as product development manager, Africa, Middle East and Latin America for Four Winds Travel, a deluxe tour operator in New York City. She is a recipient of the J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence, the highest award an associate of Marriott can receive.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Ms. Voll Morris received a bachelor’s of science degree from Niagara University. She currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband, Bruce.
