Dana L. Pimentel has been named general manager of Greater Washington`s newest SpringHill Suites which opens in June in the Gaithersburg, Md. area. The 162-suite hotel is located at 9715 Washingtonian Blvd. conveniently located near I-270 and Rio Entertainment Center.

Pimentel brings ten years of Marriott management expertise to the Gaithersburg SpringHill Suites. Prior to her appointment as SpringHill Suites general manager, Pimentel served for three years with Courtyard by Marriott, most recently as a Regional Specialist, troubleshooting and training. Pimentel also worked in several Full Service Marriott`s; Farmington, Conn., Cambridge, Mass., Peabody, Mass. and Portland, Maine in food and beverage and at the front desk. Pimentel is a graduate of University of Southern Maine in Portland, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. Dana Pimentel resides in Bethesda, Md.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is an all-suite hotel brand in the upper-moderate tier that appeals to both business and leisure travelers, especially women and families. Launched November 1998, SpringHill Suites is projected to grow to 125 properties over the next five years, with locations throughout the United States.
