Marriott Appoints Callaghan Vice-President Of Loss Prevention

Marriott International, Inc. (MAR/NYSE) has appointed Chad Callaghan vice president of loss prevention for Marriott International, North America Lodging Operations. He will oversee the safety and security of over 700 hotels and over 100,000 employees.

Callaghan has been with Marriott for 22 years and in loss prevention for 24 years. He most currently served as senior director of loss prevention.

Callaghan is a member of the executive committee of the Board of Directors for the American Society for Industrial Security and is the past chairman of the American Hotel & Motel Association Security Committee. In addition, Callaghan served on the Security Planning Council for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. He has been a certified protection professional since 1984 and is a certified lodging security director from the Educational Institute of the America Hotel & Motel Association.

Callaghan has written several articles on safety and security in the lodging industry and contributed to the reference book, “Security Business Practices.” He has been guest lecturer at the University of Houston, Cornell University, Georgia State University and Delaware State University.
