Pepsi-Cola International Signs Pact With Marriott International

Pepsi-Cola International and Marriott International have agreed to a multi-year contract making Pepsi brands the preferred carbonated soft drinks in Marriott hotels outside the United States.

The agreement more than doubles Pepsi`s presence in the Marriott system outside the U.S., giving Pepsi access more than 250 hotels in 52 countries and extending its distribution to include Marriott International`s recently acquired Renaissance, Ramada International and New World hotels.

Pepsi also will be poured in existing Marriott International brands that are being expanded internationally such as Marriott Executive Residences, Courtyard and Marriott Vacation Club International.
In the U.S., Pepsi has been a preferred partner of Marriott since 1991.

Marriott is a hospitality superbrand` and we can grow as they grow, every step of the way, said Peter Thompson, president, Pepsi-Cola International.

They have been an outstanding partner of ours in the U.S. for many years and to solidify our relationship overseas is a tremendous opportunity. This helps further our goal of aggressively expanding our presence in both mature and merging markets.

We are delighted to offer an array of Pepsi products in our hotels outside the U.S., said Ed Fuller, president and managing director, Marriott International Lodging Operations. Our guests like Pepsi and it`s terrific to team up with a world-class organization like Pepsi.

Brands included in the agreement are Pepsi-Cola, Diet Pepsi/Pepsi Light, Mepsi Max, 7UP, Diet 7UP, Mirinda, Mountain Dew and KAS.

Conversions were underway since earlier this year and are expected to be concluded this month.
