Montreal`s premier hotel and conference center, Hotel du Parc, became The Renaissance Hotel du Parc on December 1, 1998 when it officially joined the Renaissance Hotels and Resorts family.
New Castle Hotels, the Shelton, CT-based hotel management and ownership company which manages the property, has undertaken the conversion in order to position the hotel with an internationally known brand name. “Reflagging Hotel du Parc as a Renaissance will broaden the potential reach for this property among travelers and business people the world over,” says Gerald P. Chase, executive vice president and chief operating officer of New Castle Hotels.
The newly reflagged Renaissance Hotel du Parc completed a $4.5 million (Canadian) renovation earlier this year that upgraded the lobby, guest rooms, public areas and exterior. The hotel now boasts 459 luxury guest rooms and suites, a 40,000-square-foot International Association of Conference Centers-member conference center, 6,272-square-foot grand ballroom, access to state-of-the-art fitness center Club La Cite, indoor parking, a multi-lingual staff and superb cuisine at Cafe Tentation.
“We are honored to have Montreal`s Hotel du Parc become a Renaissance Hotel,” said Robert W. Olesen, brand vice president for Renaissance Hotels and Resorts. “The addition of this prestigious property is another example of how Renaissance Hotels and Resorts is growing as a business and a global brand.”
