La Quinta Appoints Two New Directors To Franchising Team

La Quinta Inns, Inc. has added two new executives to its franchise teamwith the appointments of Jeffrey Palla as director of franchise services and Jed Heller as director offranchise development.

Palla will play a key role in the development of franchised properties, focusing on the financialand operational performance of the hotels, property quality standards and RevPAR growth. Palla alsowill assist franchisees during the initial stages of their relationship with La Quinta and the openings ofnew properties. Mr. Palla will report to Rajiv Trivedi, vice president of franchise operations.

Heller will be responsible for the growth of franchised properties while also assisting franchiseesduring the initial stages of the franchisee/franchisor relationship. Mr. Heller will report to RandyEvanchyk, vice president of franchise development.

Most recently, Palla served as district manager for BridgeStreet Accommodations of Twinsburg, Ohio.For BridgeStreet, Palla doubled the company’s reach in his district and helped increase profit margins totheir highest levels ever. Prior to his career at BridgeStreet, Palla managed multiple properties for RedRoof Inns in Florida. Earlier in his career, Palla oversaw the front office operations of three resorts asguest service manager for the Walt Disney World Company.


As director of development at Suburban Lodges of America, Heller helped the chain establish apresence of extended stay hotels in the Northeast. At Choice Hotels International, Mr. Heller doubled thenumber of Clarion Hotels while tripling the number of Quality Inns franchised. He served as operatingpartner for Premier Hotel Corporation where he acquired hotels, staffed property general managers, andoversaw accounting, marketing, operations, safety and security.
