Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels Builds Miami And Los Angeles Offices

Senior Vice President Gregory Rumpel, former head of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels` New Zealand office, has been transferred to the firm`s Miami office. The company`s growing business in the southeastern United States as well as Latin America and the Caribbean necessitated the move.

“Greg oversaw investment sales, advisory services and market research in our New Zealand office for three years and successfully expanded operations during that time,” said Arthur Adler, Managing Director, Americas, for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. “His international experience in the Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and Latin American hospitality industries will be fundamental in developing our southeastern U.S. and Latin American presence.”

Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, Rumpel was a Senior Consultant for Arthur Andersen`s Real Estate Services Group in Australia. He was responsible for hotel acquisition due diligence, market demand and feasibility analyses and integrated resorts and mixed-use development for Australia and New Zealand. Rumpel has extensive hotel operational experience as well.

According to Christian Charre, Vice President with responsibility for Miami and Latin America, “Miami is the hub by which we are expanding our Caribbean and Latin American business. In the near future, we will become more active in providing lodging industry services to clients of our Argentine, Brazilian and Mexican offices. That way we are not only able to provide hotel services in those regions, but draw on the expertise of Jones Lang LaSalle executives in other real estate sectors. Rumpel will be an integral part of this process.”

Additionally, the firm solidified its Los Angeles operations with the promotion of two executives. Kimberly Katz, former Director of Marketing and Communications, will now serve as Associate of
Investment Sales.

Corrigan will continue to work with her Asia Pacific and European counterparts to promote Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels` global image and will extend the firm`s public relations and marketing efforts into Latin America as well.
