Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced today that the luxurious Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Vail, Colorado, is becoming Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. This is the first Hyatt Resort to become a Park Hyatt, joining Hyatt`s elite group of 18 properties worldwide bearing the Park Hyatt name.
Park Hyatt`s are distinguished by their distinctive designs and architecture, capturing the essence of their destinations; beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites, superior amenities and facilities; and creative, award-winning restaurants, wines and cuisine.
“It is fitting that this hotel, in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, should receive the Park Hyatt name,” commented Scott Miller, president, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “It is everything we look for in a Park Hyatt. Its level of service is completely focused on the guests and their needs. The hotel`s understated elegance perfectly captures the spectacular natural surroundings.”
Denny Alberts of Crescent Real Estate Equities Inc., the hotel`s Dallas based owner group, added: “From the moment you step in the door you can feel the difference. The attention to detail separates this hotel and raises it to the next level, creating an unforgettable experience.”
Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa earned the status of becoming the first Park Hyatt Resort with:
The addition of its 20,000 square foot spa, Allegria. With Feng Shui influences, twenty treatment rooms and state of the art spa technology, Allegria is the largest spa in the Vail Valley. It has been singled out among many spas in the state to be recognized for two consecutive years by The Denver Post as “Colorado`s Best Spa”. The long list of state-of-the-art treatments includes: Ashiatsu, an ancient form of bodywork that incorporates foot pressure applied to the back, a variety of herbal and fresh fruit body scrubs, a hot stone massage that elevates the classic Swedish massage, a couples massage and more.
The recent completion of an $8.1 million room renovation, with each of the 273 guestrooms receiving a new look, drenched in rich earth tones with touches reflecting the property`s rustic, mountain surroundings. The refurbishing echoes the warmth and intimacy of an inviting ski lodge and distinguishes the hotel from any other mountain resort by its relaxed ambiance and refined elegance.
The addition to the staff of European-born and-trained Executive Chef Pascal Coudouy, who brings to Park Hyatt sixteen years of experience that began in the south of France. Chef Coudouy`s talent and style have advanced the Patina menu to French fusion cuisine with herbs and spices indigenous to the Rocky Mountain region. Patina is the recipient of Wine Spectator Magazine`s Award of Excellence and the Zagat Survey`s ranking as one of the Top 100 Restaurants in the United States.
