Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ernesto A`De Lima to general manager of Park Hyatt Melbourne.

In his new role, De Lima will oversee operations of the 240-guestroom hotel located at Melbourne`s most exclusive address near Parliament House near Parliament Square. He will report to Willie Martin, regional director - Pacific and general manager, Park Hyatt Sydney.

Previously, De Lima gained considerable Food and Beverage experience in Mexico, Switzerland and the United States. He was appointed corporate trainee at Grand Hyatt Singapore, following Food and Beverage assignments in Melbourne, Rotorua, Sanctuary Cove and Singapore, and joined the Asia Pacific Divisional Food and Beverage Team in 1992. He has also held posts at Park Hyatt Tokyo and Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.
