Hilton Costa Mesa Begins Renovation

The Hilton Costa Mesa is excited to announce the commencement of a $14 million renovation to their 486-room, full-service property—one of Orange County`s largest hotels. This interior refurbishment and enhancement project is scheduled for completion by year-end 2002. The hotel is owned through a joint venture by CNL Hospitality Corporation and Hilton Hotels Corporation.
Featuring a contemporary array of fabrics, textures, metals & nature along with a harmonious blend of “cools” and “warms,” the project`s design scheme will set the ambience of the Hilton Costa Mesa apart from other area hotels. Renovations will be made to all guestrooms, and guestroom corridors, meeting rooms, public areas, lobby, restaurant and bar. The new and vibrant lobby area will welcome guests with an uplifting first impression via the hotel`s seven-story atrium, pillar-like palm trees, rich colors, hip accents and a “Coastal California” style and atmosphere.

“We are proud to invest in the future by creating a fresh, new experience for one of Orange County`s finest hotels. Our entire hotel team looks forward to welcoming current and past guests back to the Hilton Costa Mesa to enjoy our new sense of place,” said Richard Ham, general manager for the Hilton Costa Mesa. “The Hilton Costa Mesa`s extensive redesign and newly added services and amenities will appeal to business travelers, leisure travelers and corporate meetings, as we continue to set the standard of excellence for service and accommodations in Southern California.”

The Hilton Costa Mesa offers 46,000 square feet of meeting and event space encompassing 26 separate meeting rooms including the spacious 12,160 square foot Pacific and the 6,500 square foot Catalina Ballrooms. The beautiful Fountain and Bristol Terrace areas offer spectacular outdoor settings to enjoy the ideal year-round Southern California climate for meal functions and receptions.
