Terry C. Murphy has been named the new general manager of the Adam’s Mark Grand Junction hotel.
Murphy has over 20 years of hotel industry experience, most recently serving as vice president and general manager of the Steamboat Grand Resort and Conference Center in Steamboat Springs, Co.
Before that, he was general manager the Executive Plaza Hotel in Chicago, the Inverness Hotel & Golf Club in Englewood, Co. and the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, N.C. Murphy also was a regional manager for Doubletree/Doubletree Club hotels, directing operations, sales, marketing and human resources for the chain.
He earned a degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
The recently remodeled Adam’s Mark Grand Junction hotel features 265 deluxe guestrooms and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. It is part of Adam’s Mark Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest privately owned and operated companies in the hospitality industry with 24 upscale hotels in 14 states.
