Bill Hulbert, a 30-year veteran of Marriott Hotels, has joined Adam`s Mark Hotels & Resorts as regional vice president and general manager of the new Northbrook, Ill. hotel.
Opened last spring, the Northbrook property is the finest meeting and business travel hotel serving Chicago`s northern suburbs. It offers 318 guestrooms, including 19 suites, 15,000 square feet of meeting space and full-service banquet facilities.
“I am very excited to join the Adam`s Mark organization,” Hulbert said. “Our Northbrook hotel is an outstanding property, and I look forward to the opportunity to build the Adam`s Mark brand in the Chicago market.”
For the past three years, Hulbert was general manager of the J.W. Marriott Hotel and Stellaris Casino in Lima, Peru and before that was general manager of the Chicago O`Hare Marriott. His Marriott experience also includes serving as area general manager in Washington, D.C., corporate vice president for hotel food and beverage, and a variety of other operational positions.
Hulbert served on the board of the Illinois Hotel Motel Association and was chairman of the Marriott Business Council for Chicago.
“We are very pleased to have a hospitality veteran like Bill Hulbert join Adam`s Mark,” said Fred S. Kummer III, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the St. Louis based hotel chain. “His hospitality industry experience, combined with his knowledge of the Chicago market, made him a natural choice to lead our Northbrook hotel.”
Adam`s Mark is one of the largest privately owned and operated companies in the hospitality industry, with 24 upscale hotels offering more than 13,000 rooms and over 1.3 million square feet of premier meeting space.
