Effective immediately, Vail Cascade Resort has announced a name change to Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. The new name was implemented to better reflect the recent changes and upgrades to this AAA Four-Diamond ski-in/ski-out resort property.
The change to Vail Cascade Resort & Spa coincides with the announcement of a $4 million renovation and expansion of the spa and club. Scheduled to open fall 2001, the new Aria Spa & Club will incorporate the creation of a 10,000 square foot luxury Spa within the existing 78,000 square foot spa and club facility. Aria Spa & Club will offer the ultimate spa experience while incorporating a new emphasis on hydrotherapy.
In July 2000, Chap’s Grill & Chophouse opened at Vail Cascade Resort filling a niche previously left void in the Vail Valley. Chap’s serves the finest in steaks and chops featuring Colorado regional game entrees, seafood, lamb and chicken. After being open just a few short months, Chap’s was honored with the 2001 AAA Four-Diamond award - making it the only steak or chophouse in Colorado to earn this rating.
“We are proud of the accomplishments of this premier destination resort, and are excited to soon be able to offer our guests the added amenity of the new luxurious Aria Spa & Club,” said General Manager Gary Fries. “The change to Vail Cascade Resort & Spa more clearly identifies all of the world-class aspects and amenities of the resort as well as our dedication to service and guest satisfaction.”
In addition to Aria Spa & Club, Chap’s Grill & Chophouse and an on-property ski lift, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa also offers guests access to a full-service athletic club, condominiums, private residences, 50,000 square feet of meeting space, a first-run movie theater and all the amenities expected of a world-class resort.
Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is situated at the base of Vail Mountain, and offers both tranquility and easy access. Guests can take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Gore Creek, winding their way to the heart of the town of Vail. Skiers can access the entire Vail Mountain, including the new Blue Sky Basin via the Cascade Lift located less than 10 feet from the resort’s door. Ski concierge service makes skiing even easier by eliminating the need for guests to carry skis, boots and poles.
Vail Cascade Resort is easily accessible either by air or ground. Eighteen daily flights into Eagle County Airport, connecting to cities worldwide has made the Vail Valley one of the world’s most accessible destination resorts. Additionally, ease of access is much improved through the Denver International Airport, just 100 miles east of Vail on Interstate 70.
