Choice Hotels International Names Mirgon Senior Vice President Of Administration

Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH), the world`s second largest hotel franchising company, has appointed Tom Mirgon as senior vice president of administration.
Mirgon, who most recently served as senior vice president of human resources & partner services at Choice since February of 1997, will oversee Choice`s partner services group, human resources and organizational development & learning functions, the property systems group and support services.


Bill Floyd, Choice president and chief executive officer, announced Mirgon`s new appointment.  “Tom`s extensive experience and skill in building strong cultures, fostering corporate and franchisee relationships, developing organizational education and training programs and building optimal franchise operating systems will be a tremendous asset as we continue to set a new standard in the world of franchising,” Floyd said.


“We look forward to the continued development of extraordinary organizational relationships and the growth of all groups under his direction.”


As Choice`s senior vice president of human resources & partner services, Mirgon was responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction for human resources and partner services at Choice`s corporate office, at reservations centers and in field offices internationally.


Prior to joining Choice, Mirgon served as vice president, administration, for Interim Services, an international provider of staffing and managed services, where he developed standardized operating practices and quality initiatives.

He also held positions of increasing responsibility at Taco Bell, a division of Pepsico Inc., culminating in his post as senior director, field human resources.  He was responsible for the strategic direction of Taco Bell`s human resource function which encompassed more than 70,000 employees.  He is credited with reorganizing the company`s operations and human resources functions to create a more productive, customer-focused, team-based organization.


Mirgon received a bachelor`s degree in industrial organization psychology and a master`s degree in labor and human resources from Ohio State University.
