Choice Announces New Appointments, Reorganization In International Operations And Information Techno

Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH), the world`s second largest hotel franchising company, recently announced a reorganization of its information technology area to maximize efficiency in areas including reservations, yield management and network systems development.

Don Brockway, vice president of reservations operations, will oversee all Choice reservations centers as well as Choice`s Customer Relations department, and will report to Mark Wells, Choice`s newly appointed senior vice president of marketing.


Janna Morrison, formerly vice president of revenue management, will now serve as vice president, property systems.  She will oversee all sales, implementation, training and property support aspects of Profit Manager, Choice`s property management system.  Morrison will report to Tom Mirgon, senior vice president of administration.


Gary Thomson, vice president of systems development and computer operations, will oversee the development of information programs and software for corporate operations, central reservations and property systems, and will report to Don Dempsey, Choice chief financial officer.


Choice also recently announced the addition of two new vice president positions within its international department.  Bill Poe, who previously served as vice president of corporate systems, has been promoted to vice president, international operations.  Poe will oversee distribution and operational activities within the international division and will direct the activity for Choice`s Canadian and Caribbean operations.

Gary Barden will now serve as vice president, international technology, in charge of the development of reservations and property system technologies for Choice`s international operations.  Both Barden and Poe will report to Bruno Geny, senior vice president, international.
