Park Place Entertainment Announces Management Changes

Park Place Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:PPE) announced today the following management changes in the Company’s western region:
Dean Harrold, President of the Las Vegas Hilton, will assume the position of President at Caesars Palace Las Vegas effective January 11. A 10-year veteran with the Company, Harrold has held his position at the Las Vegas Hilton since 1997. Harrold was previously an Executive Vice President at Bally’s Las Vegas and, prior to joining Bally’s, was with Caesars World Branch Marketing.


William Bigelow, President of the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin, has been named President of the Las Vegas Hilton effective February 2. Bigelow, a 20-year veteran of the Company, was named to his current position in 1995 after serving as Vice President and General Manager of the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas. Bigelow began his tenure with the Company in 1980 at the Las Vegas Hilton where he served in a variety of capacities.


Darryl Dauenhauer has been named President of the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin where he currently serves as Vice President of Casino Operations. Dauenhauer has been with the Company for 20 years and has worked at the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin since it opened in 1990.


Harrold, Bigelow and Dauenhauer will report directly to Mark Dodson, Executive Vice President of Park Place Entertainment responsible for western and international operations.
